Welcome! University of Maryland University College (UMUC) is now in its 53rd year of offering classes to students in Asia and the Pacific. UMUC appreciates that every student takes a different path to our classrooms. Learning is a lifelong process, and few of our students live on a campus or earn their degrees in the four years immediately following high school. In particular, UMUC has worked with the Department of Defense to provide educational opportunities to students living in military communities who attend school on a part-time basis. UMUC adjusts its class meeting times, term lengths, and other aspects of its programs specifically for these students so as to best provide for their needs, while still maintaining the high academic standards that would apply at more traditional universities.
